Hey guys,
I am happy to announce that my solo acoustic album should be available for purchase by March time. I am still in the process of getting it published. But the covers are looking pretty sweet, and the samples of them that I have recieved back are looking smart.
The album is pretty chilled out, completely different from the heavier band stuff. Most of the music on it is inspired by my love of nature and surfing. The songs on there mellow me out and I hope they will have a similar affect on you if you get a copy and support me. It should be available as a CD and hopefully also for download from iTunes.
Hope you are well.
Richard.

Greetings all.
We here at Echo Town are happy to announce that recording of the next record begins tomorrow. This project should be finished far quicker than the previous album.
We are looking forward to showcasing some of our newer material to you all at some upcoming gigs.
Peace to you all.

Having collaborated with a bass player from way down south in Oxford, we are getting ready to do some shows.
It has certainly been a blessing having the bass player live so far away to some extent. Our music needs to be spontaneous, and when we perform live we depend very much on improvisation to pad out our sound. Because the bass player lives so far away it means we are not tempted to over-reherse. His personality is definitely similiar to that of Robert and I. He has an unending enthusiasm for music, a true passion for playing bass and is willing to play around with ideas to no end. All this being said he totally respects that the Echo Town project belongs to us.
We like to leave every song open to new ideas. Even with songs we have recorded and released we still add things to them to keep the audience guessing. That way you are coming to see a “live” band…not listen to a band replicate their album to the letter and note. So don’t expect your favourite song to sound entirely the same…expect an extended solo or some other sort of craziness.
Anyway, we are excited, we hope you are excited and we will certainly update you and let you know when all of this new Echo Town stuff is going down.
All we wanna do is have a good laugh at the show and make people smile and enjoy themselves.
Peace and Love.
Echo Town.
Richard.

Talks begin tonight about the next Echo Town record, which according to Robert “has to sound ten times better than Population: Him and Me”. This is definitely going to be the case. It is imperitive that this next record be leaps and bounds above the previous Echo Town offering.
We plan for it to take far less time to produce and have more songs of a better quality. Clean vocal takes, clean guitar sounds…no “fuzziness”. There will be no-one saying ”this will do” when it comes to recording or editing. We plan for it to be a well rounded, well produced record that we can be 100% proud of.
As far as the album content is concerned, it will be darker than P:H+M. Songs such as “Robin Hood” and “Wolf” were generally quite light-hearted, and while we absolutely love writing and recording songs of this type, we don’t think anything like that will be on the next record.
We have all the songs lined up and ready for recording, all we need is a song order really. We can tell you that the album will be “themed” meaning that the album on a whole should tell a story or have a consistent theme. When we say a “darker” album we don’t necessarily mean a depressing album, but rather a deep album that makes you think and view things differently, or see the world outside your own box. But the album definitely will have the capacity to depress.
Don’t let this put you off, but rather watch this space and see what transpires, see what walks out of Echo Town. I genuinely hope you are all as excited as we are about hearing more of our songs on record.
Peace.
